Motivi challenge + INVITE

Brace yourselves, a trip down memory lane is coming, with lots of awkward childhood pictures.
A little background here, Motivi is celebrating it’s 20 years anniversary and the relaunch of the Motivi store in Baneasa with a challenge and a party. What challenge? How did my style changed during the last 20 years?
So, let’s begin.
20 years ago, I was 3 years old, an avid fan of peter pan collar dresses, rompers and colorful printed suits.
And velvet, I did loved velvet, which is really strange because now I can’t stand it. Don’t wear rompers either and, you know how I feel about suits.. I remember wearing the pink & purple two piece, until I finished kindergarten and the top became a cropped top. Still, I was a pretty darn cute kid, and loved to pose for the camera.
The first one is from my first grade graduation, top of the class! As you can see, more Peter Pan collar dresses and a big love for prints. I was stubborn child and didn’t wear anything that I didn’t like, so mom & grandma couldn’t dress me how they pleased.
When I changed schools in third grade, I had to wear uniform but I was constantly “in detention” to say so because I wouldn’t fully comply with the dress code. My jewelry was confiscated twice, we weren’t aloud with any, I was given as bad example in front of the class a couple of times and so on. The uniform was black and white, and dressed around the theme but not exactly. Ok, to be fair, the teacher didn’t like me because I had a big mouth and my mom didn’t come to the parent conferences.  Bad seed!
The velvet & floral print dress I wore to a school play, and I still have the oversized red t-shirt:)
During the end of 8th grade and highschool, something clicked and I went crazy with my style and other stuff, ehhm:)))
I wished I could show you a couple more photos from my 8th grade prom without risking becoming an internet meme, but I can’t. That was an awkward faze, monochrome teal, exquisite!
Then I went dark, slightly emo but not quite, short hair, sneakers, black pants & jeans, hoodies and a big don’t really care about anything attitude. Yet, something sticked!
There’s a style timeline of about 2 years, of which I don’t have pictures, before I started the blog. You know, I had an awesome Motivi blouse, that I wore for a year or so, it was a dark plum, with wide neckline that I loved dearly…
In 11th grade, started the blog and  become more interested in fashion,  17 years old back then. My style took a big turn, I began wearing dresses, more fancy girly clothes, pastel colors & co. Aaaand, I made silly doodles on photos that I posted on the blog.
Again, when college came,  I changed my style a bit ( 3 + 4),  casual & preppy mostly, lots of jeans, simple tops. No more pink, went thrift shopping often, received lovely items because of the blog. ( yellow bag ). After a while, I fancied high street brands and the rest is history.

How’s my style now? I want to think it is casual with a twist, don’t know how to pin it down but I don’t like to wear 10000 items at once or dress like a Christmas tree. Yeah, that pretty much sums it all.
Now, about the invite! Motivi is celebrating it’s anniversary on Friday at 5pm in the Baneasa Shopping City. I’ll be there, along with other bloggers, so come say hi.
If you’ll come, please, email me or leave a comment! Can’t wait to meet you, or if I already do, to catch up 🙂
