Philips just launched in Romania a new innovative hair removal system based on the IPL technology, Philips Lumea, which helps you to have a silky smooth skin for up to six weeks, super easy & pain free.
What’s all of this IPL you may ask? Well, IPL – Intense pulsed light, describes the use of intense pulses of non-coherent light distributed over a range of wave lengths.
According to dermatologist Ana Fâcă, IPL works best in the hair growing stage, at this point the concentration of melanin, responsible for hair pigmentation, hast the higher level. Melanin concentration is the most important factor in the treatment’s effectiveness. Impulse light heats the hair and its roots and melanin absorbs the emitted light. The process stimulates the hair root into a resting phase. Hair sheds naturally and regrowth is inhibited. IPL acts directly on hair follicles without affecting your skin. Philips Lumea can be used safely at home after carefully reading the instructions.
The device comes in two versions, Lumea SC2003 for face & body and Lumea SC2001 only for body.
