Interiors: Monique Lhuillier’s Bel Air home

It’s only 12 pm and I’m drinking my second coffee of the day, this weather is annoying, there goes my good mood from yesterday’s evening. Why? Because today I had planned to take pictures but if it continues to snow, bye bye pictures.
Initially I wanted to post Monique Lhuillier’s gorgeous house on Daily Dream Decor but how she is a designer and I do love her work, I thought it’s more suitable for our little interior design weekly feature, am I right? Hope so..
Well, the Philippines-born designer greets us with open doors in her Bel Air home, now let me tell you a couple of details about this gray rhapsody of a home. The most important detail is that it undergone an 18 months extensive renovation, imagine that, I had a nervous breakdown a couple of years ago after just two weeks of renovation, don’t want to find out my limits after 18 months though:)
You can observe from the rooms that Monique Lhuillier worked her magic with the house exactly as she does with her beautiful wedding gowns. I just love that the wallpaper follows the same pattern of ostrich and lizard skin, and let’s not forget the mix of modern and vintage furniture from the ‘30s thought the ‘70s which is upholstered in rich velvets and suedes, tactile materials with an elegant allure. Aww, and if you happen to be around Melrose Place and visit the designer’s boutique you’ll notice similar wall coverings and finishing touches as the home.
