glasses, contact lenses and exams

This has been such a long, long day, I really don’t understand why they need to schedule exams at 7:30  in the morning, and nor do I seem to get how some people are there before 7. I for one, can’t even now my name the second you wake me up let alone to write essays about how the exchange rate in ro developed in the last twenty years… I’m not a morning person…ohh well, enough with my frustrations…
When in classes, most of the time I wear glasses and right after I got them, last year if you remember, and it still continues, people are asking me I don’t contact lenses. Well, why don’t I? The main reason is because I love wearing glasses, especially my oversized ,with a touch of leopard print, hipster glasses. Though, I understand the advantages of wearing contacts, more natural and stable, better peripheral vision & co, I’m not sure I could break up with my beloved glasses, they did cost me a small fortune. 
Still, I would go for colored contact lenses, if it would be possible with prescription too,  browsing  www.getlenses.co.uk  doesn’t help at all,  I just love green eyes and the possibility to have them only if for just a couple of hours a days sounds promising.
Well, I wanted to take a picture with and without glasses but I woke up very early and I have no photoshop skills…
So, do you wear contacts, how’s that going? Do share!

  • hello! i'm wearing glasses since i was a kid and last spring i decided to be brave and try contacts, mostly because i just don't like the way i look with glasses (i'd really like to rock them, i just have a tiny face in my opinion:P) and i was very pleased with the result! i totally recommend contacts, if worn right they are a delight!

  • I do not recommend wearing contact lenses instead of glasses than for a short period of time (a few hours), the disadvantages of contact lenses are: corneal damage – scratching the cornea, occurrence of conjunctivitis Often, Not Be Used for a longer period of time continuously (like a full day) – cornea dries, Require Careful maintenance and so on..

  • Sorry about early exams, but it's all worth it in the end! I've been avoiding glasses, but unfortunately it's going to have to happen because I can't read the board from far away eeeek! Do you have any favorite brands to suggest?

  • You love wearing glasses because 1. yours are freaking awesome and 2. you don't have to wear them all the time :)))

    And yeah, by the time I get to an exam all the seats are taken…God, ppl love to get there early 8-|

  • I prefer wearing glasses because I can't stand using contact lenses for more than 4-5 hours… My eyes get dry if I use them for too long!
    Fortunately I appreciate my face with glasses and have no problem with them 🙂
