Fall make-up trends

Special Kokos favorite make-up trends, enjoy!

Hey everyone!
As you know, our dearest Nookie is away to see the world…or at least a small, but very awesome, part of it. In the meantime, she asked me to fill in for her.

After giving it some thought, the best subject that came to mind was fall make-up trends. I don’t want you to get the wrong impression; I’m not the kind of girl that follows trends blindly. On the contrary, I tend to stick with what I like and what I know works best for me. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t get educated on the offer, see what we like and apply it to ourselves. That’s why I chose to talk about my favorite make-up trends, the ones that I think can easily be worn off the catwalk.
 Dark lips

Although this is a trend that never gets old, I rarely see it on the streets. I personally love it and I think it’s full of personality. The one wearing it comes across as being confident and strong, so why not give it a go? I’m sure it’s harder to get accustomed to a darker shade, but keep your eye make-up to a minimum, and you’ll have no problem. You can opt for a burgundy or berry color, a rich purple or a deep plum.

Wine-stained lips

I don’t know about you, but these wine-stained lips look extremely sexy to me. They are a perfect way to archive a mysterious and seductive look. Where to wear it? How about on a romantic night out? Make sure to moisturize the lips first, add a coat of lipstick, blot with a tissue and add a bit of gloss on top for a sheer look.

Colored liquid eyeliner

This is such a fun trend and I’m hoping more people will take it up. I admit I’m a black eyeliner fan, but this is the moment to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. Gold, purple, aqua…the world is you oyster!
 Colorful Smoky eyes

This is probably my favorite trend, probably because it’s the one I wear the most. You can still wear the classic black look, but why not opt for purple, orange, copper or royal blue shades?

Also, try metallic shadows for a sexy, sultry look. Combine them with nude lips and you’re set.

Can you spell LOVE? How cool is this look? I love adding a touch of shimmer in my inner corner and this gold metallic color is a beautiful choice. It draws attention to the eyes and makes them look bigger. You can combine it with a smoky look ( like in the pictures above), or use lighter pink, orange or copper tones for a day-time look.

 Dramatic lashes

Dramatic lashes or spider lashes, as they call it. I’m not a fan of clumpy looking mascara, but fuller and longer lashes, on the other hand…definitely yes! If you want to achieve a fake lashes effect, curl your lashes, apply one coat of your favorite mascara, wait for about a minute and apply the second one. I’m a falsies junkie so I’m going to take the easy way out.
