When I was in the middle school we had a class were girls learned to knit and boys to fretwork, I wanted so bad to carve wood and make myself cute stationary but unfortunately I was left to knit headbands…Lucky for me, one of classmates made me a pen holder which I still use. I have a thing for wood pieces.
So, for me Stolen Thunder reminds me of my lost fretwork classes, beautiful handmade wooden accessories, you’ll not risk seeing these beautiful handmade wooden accessories on other girls.
Joy Frost and Alice Burlinson created Stolen Thunder as an antithesis to cheap, soulless items, mass produced without love or identity and they were sweet enough to offer fashioninmyeyes readers a 15% discount code, just add NOOKIE at checkout.
You’ll have to choose from quirky skipping girls, funny russian dolls, cute anchors and many more.
Steal back your thunder.
Those are so cute!

These are adorable! And what a shame that you weren't able to take the wood carving class (I did in HS). I hope things have changed since then :o/

i remember this story when u told us last time when i was there. i know we were discusing that they tray to instill this mentality since u are a child that if u are a girl u need to be doing homely stuff like cooking and knitting and if u are a boy u need to do work that involves more physical strength. cu toata ca nu stiu cat physical strength ai nevoie sa faci traforaj. 🙂

That jumprope piece is adorable!
Hey, cute! I like the skipping girl necklace, very old-fashioned. I wish I could wear pieces like this – one down side to a large bust, it seriously limits jewellery purchases.
