How you decided you want to be a fashion designer?
I always say: I didn’t decide to become a fashion designer, fashion design decided it was something I had to do! At first I studied medicine, but 2 weeks before the admission exams I decided to follow my passion. So, after 6 year here I am!

What inspires you?
Inspiration is all around us, just the surroundings are different. So I get my inspirations from the things I love, thing that make me happy. The city and it’s hectic lifestyle will always be important to me.
But I also get inspired by people I meet (like my adorable Redhead – if you read my blog, you know what I’m talking about). Because we, as fashion designers, always create characters and stories. That’s why an interesting person will always inspire us.

Tell us more about the “I scream splash” collection.
Well, aster Urban Candy I decided to go for something more practical. Pieces that are absolutely necessary in a woman’s waredrobe, that match with other clothes that are already there.
But also, it all had to be with a twist! Here come the 2 face jackets (that are starting to be some kind of a trademark for my brand), the had-splashed fabrics and also the little details (like the bows). The print was inspired by Pollack’s beautiful canvases. Actually, I had imagine it as a dirty-dusty city, on a rainy day – with rain drops of Pollock colors.
Something I never told about the collection is connected to the title: I Scream SPLASH!, that it can also be read: Ice Cream SPLASH! If you think about the use of crea-colored fabric in the collection, you’ll get the connection.

Who are your ideal customers?
The ones that buy my creations!:))
The ones that like to have fun with fashion
The ones that know FASHION IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN!

Any favorite piece in “I scream splash”?
I just love the blue dress and the trench. The dress because it reminds me of figure-skaters (cute and sexy at the same time) and the trench…well, let’s just say I have an obsession with them!

How about in your weardrobe?
This is a hard one. I just have so many thing I love…my Obey shirt, my TooLate watch, my Guban shoe collection and my United Nude boots. Yes, I’m urban.

What’s your everyday style?
Comfortable is not a key word! I just won’t sacrifice fashion for the love of comfort! :)) Seriously now, I mostly wear jeans with cardigans and shirts. Plus high heals, that are a must!

How do you see Arina Varga brand in 10 years?
World known.
With appearances in every issue of WAD Magazine.
