• Curator for Intel & Lenovo

Well, I have exciting news! I’m part of an awesome project from Intel and Lenovo for Romanian Design Week that will take you through the most iconic moments of Ro’s Fashion History.
Yeah, yeah, I’m a curator and I’m on video also, first one in 7+ years of blogging if I may say. Yes, I know video is the future but wait until you listen my voice… And I seem so calm and serene, at least that’s what people who saw it already said, ha! Appearances, appearances..
When Intel and Lenovo asked my talk about an iconic moment/ character / design for the #intelandlenovoforfashion , Leny Caler came to mind. She was an actress, muse and “jewel” of the interwar  period. She inspired works of Camil Petrescu, Mihail Sebastian, Tudor Musatescu and even Tudor Arghezi wrote stellar reviews about her. Aww and she toggled the diva and tomboy styles…
Anyway, watch the video below which you can go see at Hanul Gabroveni, and after you see it go check out the product design galleries, amazing!
Tomorrow is the proper launch of the project at 10 am, again at Hanul Gabroveni, so if you wanna come join me, let me know, it will be fun!
Discover more iconic moments curated by Ana Morodan (anamorodan.com), Ovidiu Muresanu (ovidiumuresanu.com) Alina Gherghe (Imalintz.com), Ioana Liliana Gheorghe (fashezine.com), Liana Popa – (avetisiperoz.ro), Ioana & Claudiu (mauvert.com) & Gabriela Atanasov (sweetpaprika.ro) on Intel’s Youtube Channel and seriously, come see us tomorrow or until Sunday.

  • Nina Ricci – L’EXTASE

    Ochii lor se intersectează.

    Ea nu își ascunde interesul.

    Țesăturile foșnesc.

    Trupurile se tensionează.

    O mână se întinde.

O dorință arzătoare invadează simțurile și preia controlul.

    Aroma erotismului plutește în aer.

    Chiar aici.

    Chiar acum.

    Se sărută pasional.

Ușile se deschid și ea iese.

    Oare a visat?

    A fost o fantezie?

    Nici nu mai conteaza.

    A experimentat extazul: L’Extase.

    L’Extase by Nina Ricci

    You were right, girl
    You were art, you’re dripping
To start the week in a fabulous way, watch  this awesome video ALLSAINTS created for Blonde Redhead’s standout single, “Dripping” .The film, conceived in East London, captures the haunting moods and tripped-out atmospherics that are at the core of the music created by the band.
Guitarist/vocalist Amedeo Pace, drummer Simone Pace, and guitarist/vocalist Kazu Makino are all looking dashing, wearing looks from the AllSaints’ Christmas collection.

Ok, so AllSaints is a fashion brand, no? That’s right, but AllSaints Studios is a multi-faceted communications channel, creating exclusive film, music, art and performance content to be shared digitally with the brand’s global community. Which is ahhmazing!

    Love, love, love the video!!!

  • FIME x Van Cleef & Arpels 8 Seconds of Luck

A lovely project that I was dying to share with you,  made my first video in almost 6 years of blogging, for an awesome Van Cleef & Arpels platform devoted to the luck theme so dear to the Maison,  “8 Seconds of Luck”

The site  invites you to compose lucky messages in the form of short 8-second videos similar to Jacques Arpels’ messages of luck. The nephew of Estelle Arpels,  liked to present his colleagues with four-leaf clovers accompanied by a poem.  The videos are generated from a selection of one-second mini-films available on the website: these are inspired by quotations on the theme of luck or by references to different lines and materials from iconic Van Cleef & Arpels collections such as Alhambra and Perlée.

I’m a fairly lucky person, I do win contests, I even find random money on the street but I strongly believe that you make your own luck too. Besides, if you are good, kind and give back to the community karma has its own way to make things right. In the form of luck or any other experience. Though, I do have my lucky charms and symbols.

    More after the jump

So, celebrate the new platform I’m going to share with you a couple of my luck symbols.
    • The 4 leaf clover which is an universal luck symbol accompanied by a lady bug, in the form of a chocolate box, now jewelry box, I received from a friend.
    • Red lipstick, gives me confidence which attracts luck. Only good things happened while wearing red lipstick:)
    • March 1, marks the day that I began blogging and that changed my life… so, lucky date
    • Lucky number 16, is my birthday. Choosing 16 in different situations got me through a lot. For example, I passed a difficult exam with a good grade because I picked the 16th subject.
    • I have an extensive collection of agendas and notebooks, but the mini agenda is a token of luck, from the same friend that gifted me the little jewelry box. Sometimes, there are certain persons that bring you luck, rather than objects.
    • Work hard and be nice to people! Luck will come…
Create your own video on http://8-seconds-of-luck.vancleefarpels.com , one of the poetic sequences will be selected at random for a reward!
Do you have luck symbols? Share them with us!
