Summer lifestyle tips

It may seem like a lifetime in the coming but summer is now well and truly here, so it is the perfect time to shed your cold weather ways for good, if you didn’t already,  and

transforming yourself into a summertime style icon.

Clothes
Though trends change every year, you should be able to reuse many of your clothes

from last year. To freshen them up a little, try a bit of customization – although it’s

probably best to try out your creative skills on pieces that you’re less attached to

first. That’s if you are not a DIY queen already.

Hair
Your hair can become damaged over winter as cold temperatures and harsh

conditions take their toll so it’s important you improve the condition in advance of

the summer sun. Use a few conditioning masks to remove the last of winter’s affects

or if you want a whole new look then try a nice ‘n easy permanent hair colour to leave your hair looking healthy and vibrant.

 Books
Whether you’re planning on hitting the beach or spending your days lounging in the

park, a few good reads are an essential part of your summer armory. Check out

the latest best seller lists for inspiration or use this as an opportunity to take a look

through those classics you’ve never got round to reading.

Accessories
Choosing your accessories is one of the most enjoyable parts of getting ready for

summer. From sunglasses to bags, this is your chance to express your personal style

with a few well-chosen designs so hit the shops early to stock up on a few essentials.

 Beauty
Over the cold winter months it’s easy to let your beauty regime slim a little, so now

is the time to wax, shave and pluck yourself back into shape. If things are really out

of hand a visit to a salon may be in order. If just general maintenance is required,

you should be able to make the necessary adjustments at home.

If you are planning on spending a lot of time outside in the sun, it’s a good idea to

exfoliate and moisturize your skin thoroughly a couple of times a month. This will

help you look bright and fresh and make any tan you pick up last even longer.
